In addition to covering the fundamentals of employer-sponsored health plans, Megan Poppe will briefly touch on legislative developments impacting plans today and employer trends Mercer is seeing in the benefits landscape. While this session will be targeted for individuals with little to no knowledge in health benefits, it can also be used as a refresher course for seasoned professionals.

Speaker: Megan Poppe PHR, SHRM-CP

Megan worked in the human resources field for 12 years with a primary focus on benefit administration prior to joining Mercer in 2013. She holds a BA in Human Resource Management from Washington State University Vancouver, the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certificate through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification through HR Certification Institute (HRCI). She also is in her fourth term on the Board of Directors for the local SHRM chapter, PHRMA.
